- We must have more focus on sustainability, especially with regard to soil management – and we must do this with the aid of technology, says Ole Green. He already collaborates with the Department of Agroecology on no less than 11 research projects – projects that have been granted almost 180 million kroner from various sources. The projects focus on various aspects of crop production with an emphasis on technological solutions.

In connection with the lecture, the 11 research projects will be presented and it will be possible to speak with some of the people involved in the projects from both the Department of Agroecology and Agrointelli.

The research projects have a direct connection with the Department of Agroecology’s four research flagships and you can learn about these at the inaugural event.

The professorship will support industrial research and public-private collaboration, which in turn will contribute to boosting the Department of Agroecology’s commercial contacts. The head of the Department of Agroecology, Erik Steen Kristensen, is therefore happy about the new professor.

- With the appointment of Ole Green as honorary professor in the Department of Agroecology we are formalising the strong collaborative bonds that we already have. Ole Green is visionary and innovative, good at research and future thinking, and has a good network, which is valuable for our employees, says Erik Steen Kristensen.
