Financial support for “early-career” scientists

A limited number of grants will be available to support the participation of younger scientists at the conference. Applicants should have graduated with a MSc or equivalent no earlier than 2005 and be active researchers or breeders within cereal rusts or powdery mildews. Priority will be given to participants from cereal rust or powdery mildew at-risk areas in Africa and Asia. Anyone wishing to be considered is requested to send the conference organisers (Sonja.graugaard@agro.au.dk) an abstract of her or his work (maximum 250 words text and one Figure or Table on 1 page) and a short CV of maximum two pages.

Successful candidates will have accommodation and travel expenses reimbursed up to a maximum of €1500. Applicants must accept that the decision of the organizers is final. The deadline for receipt of these documents is 16 March, 2015; no applications received after that date will be considered. The winners, who will be notified no later than 27 March, 2015, are they expected to present a poster and will be considered for an oral presentation on similar conditions as regular participants.
