Hydrological, soil and geophysical observations is the foundation for simulating water flow and nitrate transport. Kim Madsen van’t Veen studied how to optimize the design of a geophysical method and apply soil and hydrological data for simulations of small-scale nitrate leaching and large-scale water flow. This research can also contribute to future hydrological investigations by improving the data collection on which they depend.

The PhD study was completed at Department of Agroecology, Faculty of Technical Sciences, Aarhus University.
