Registration for the 19th EuroBlight workshop is now open.

Scope of the workshop

Emphasized by the rampant late blight epidemics experienced during the 2023 growing season, important themes for the workshop in the Netherlands will be:

Integrated (IPM/ICM) control strategies exploiting knowledge of the host, the pathogens and their interactions for improved control strategies meeting the F2F requirements.
Breeding for host resistance: status, goals, current and future possibilities, obstacles and outlook.
Fungicide efficacy: resistance avoidance strategies and use of alternative products to sustainably control late blight and early blight.
Precision agriculture, monitoring and decision support - success stories, available tools, outlook, obstacles and how to tackle them.
Global issues:

Short reports from Euroblight’s sister networks.
How can a global view of host and pathogen information help to develop and promote IPM/ICM solutions for individual farmers?

Important deadlines

2023:

October 16: Registration opens via link on the EuroBlight website.
December 11: Registration closes.
December 18: Your attendance and selected presentations will be confirmed by email.
December 31: Deadline for De Werelt hotel booking (EuroBlight special price).

2024:

March: Draft scientific program circulated to participants.
April: Final program on the website.
May 13-16: EuroBlight Workshop in De Werelt.

Registration process step-by-step:

Submit your title, abstract, and preference for oral and/or poster presentation not later than December 11, 2023. You can register and then upload your abstract later, but not later than the 11 December.
You will receive an email confirming the receipt of your initial registration.
The organisers will evaluate the registrations.
By December 18 your attendency and selected oral/poster presentations will be confirmed by email.

Costs for the venue, lunches, dinners, the mid-conference excursion and transportation within the workshop are kindly covered by our sponsors.You must pay for your own travel and accommodation.

In the case of over-registration (>100), the organizing committee will review participation based on active contributions. This decision will be announced no later than the 18 December.
