The Ghent Group Forum 2026 will take place in Copenhagen on 3–4 November 2026 under the theme "Strengthening Science Advice through Diversity, Collaboration and Shared Learning". The Forum brings together researchers, science advisors, knowledge brokers and policy-facing institutions working at the science–policy–society interface in the fields of food, agriculture, environment and climate.
Across Europe, countries address many of the same societal and policy challenges, while science advice is organised in different ways depending on institutional traditions and national contexts. The Forum provides an opportunity to exchange experiences, compare approaches and explore how collaboration and shared learning can strengthen science advice.
Topics include science–policy–society interface models, collaboration and co-creation in advisory systems, cross-border learning, and the opportunities and challenges associated with the use of artificial intelligence in science advice.
The programme will include keynote presentations, panel discussions, workshops and interactive sessions. Confirmed speakers include Niels Halberg (Aarhus University/Ghent Group), Claire Chenu (INRAE) and Giampiero Mazzocchi (CREA/FutureFoodS).
