Workshop - Zero greenhouse gas emissions in high productive agriculture
For agriculture and the food industry, the challenge of the 20th century is to supply a growing population with high quality food, while at the same time reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, preserve the resource base, including biodiversity, and contribute to a green circular economy.

The workshop will share knowledge on novel technologies, management methods and system changes identified at the international scientific conference in May 2022 to minimize agricultural GHG emissions for intensive and highly productive agricultural systems contributing to the carbon farming concept. Consideration will be given to the ability for the EU to maintain a high productive agriculture, with minimized GHG emissions, low environmental impact and consideration for biodiversity and animal welfare.
