My research interests focus on studies of genome-centric analysis of carbon and nitrogen cycling within agricultural ecosystems. During my postdoctoral work, I investigated how long-term agricultural practices shape the carbon dynamics of arable soils, with a particular focus on microbial mediation. By integrating field observations with genome-centric metagenomics, our work aims to elucidate the transformation pathways between particulate organic carbon and mineral-associated organic carbon. Ultimately, our goal is to harness microbial processes to enhance soil health and contribute to climate change mitigation.
