New research: Climate change could triple the price of wheat
When drought strikes several of the world's major wheat-producing regions at the same time, wheat prices rise sharply. New international research involving Professor and Head of Department Jørgen E. Olesen from the Department of Agroecology at Aarhus University shows that the connection is so strong that three degrees of global warming could lead to a tripling of average wheat prices compared with 2010 levels.
