Askov Experimental Station
The experiment was originally established in 1975 as a field trial at the Lundgård site on a coarse sandy soil. Since 1991, the experiment has been continued as an experiment in framed miniplots (0.77 m2) at Askov Research Station.
The purpose of the experiment is to investigate how rapidly the soil is depleted of phosphorus and how much phosphorus must be applied to maintain an adequate phosphorus status in the soil. Moreover, the effect of phosphorus fertilizer source (mineral fertilizer vs. organic manures) has been investigated.
The long-term treatments have resulted in unique gradients in the soil’s phosphorus content.
