Location

Foulumgård Experimental Station (56° 30' N, 09° 35' E, 53 meters above sea level)

Flakkebjerg Experimental Station (55° 19' N, 11° 23' E, 32 meters above sea level)

Starting year

The experiment started in 2002.

Short description

To evaluate the effects of non-inversion tillage on yield, N-uptake and nitrate leaching in different crop rotations. To have large tillage main-plots to secure that soil tillage is carried out under conditions relevant to the farmers. To allow the experiment to be utilized for many different studies related to non-inversion tillage.

Soil type(s)

Sandy loam soils. Mollic Luvisol (Foulumgård) and Glossic Phaeozem (Flakkebjerg). Till plains from the Weichselian glacial stage.

Main experimental treatments

  • Soil tillage

  • Crop rotations

  • Residue management

  • Cover cropping

Sample archive

The archive contains samples of crops and soils for the whole period.
