Researcher specializing in Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) of agricultural and livestock production systems with extensive experience in quantifying climate, nutrient losses, and toxicity-related impacts across diverse farming systems, including dairy, pork, beef, and poultry. My work focuses on identifying effective mitigation strategies and evaluating agroecology production systems, such as organic and agroforestry-based systems, to support more sustainable agricultural practices. Additionally, I contribute to advancing and refining environmental modeling frameworks to improve the robustness and applicability of LCA in agrifood-system assessments.
I contribute to teaching at both BSc and MSc levels in the areas of environmental modelling of agricultural systems and life cycle assessment. In addition, I am a guest lecturer in the PhD course ‘Sustainable Meat Production in the Nordic Region – NordMeat’, on the theme focusing on life cycle assessment of meat production systems.
My research projects are collaborative and involve partnerships with universities, agri‑food stakeholders, agricultural advisors, and NGOs.
I have contributed to policy‑support tasks related to the climate and environmental impacts of agriculture and food systems, including guidelines for carbon footprints and carbon labelling of food products.
