Can rewetting help restore peatland carbon sink? My research investigates the effects of rewetting on greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and carbon balance in peatlands, using the Eddy covariance technique. By studying how rewetting impacts the exchange of gases like carbon dioxide and methane between peatlands and the atmosphere, my work aims to provide critical insights into the role of peatlands in climate change mitigation. My research expertise in peatland ecology and GHG flux measurements informs efforts to develop sustainable management practices for these vital ecosystems.
