After the establishment of the Warrior race across Europe in 2011, the Warrior(-) variant now prevail in most European countries, from where samples have been investigated. Warrior(-) does not affect Warrior and Ambition, two wheat varieties which became the signature of the original Warrior race.
The two races, which are genetically related but not mutants of one another, have spread further north and east, now detected in Norway in both 2015 and 2016 and in Ukraine and Azerbaijan in 2016. Other new races have been detected and will be reported after final confirmation in the near future.
