The section aims at conducting strategic and basic research into prevention and control of plant diseases and pests, honeybee diseases as well as pests (insects and mites) in farm animals, storerooms, food production, on humans and pets, and in buildings and materials.
The aim of the section is – through its research – to point out prevention and control methods which will reduce environmental strain and which will advance sustainable production as well as produce new knowledge about pests and diseases.
